When you enter a person’s BSB, account number, and account name — either for a new payee or when updating the details of an existing payee — Confirmation of Payee will instantly check the account details you’ve entered with the account details held by the recipient’s bank and let you know the match outcome in real-time.

Based on the match outcome, you can then decide if you want to go ahead with the payment, pause and double check the payment, or stop the payment entirely
